When asked to describe his workshop, Bertolino says: We will engage our imaginations and discover ways to find brilliance in our own words. We will use creative techniques to generate energy and excitement, as well as create poems that are both fun to write and fun to read.... You'll be surprised how random details can shape beauty and express powerful ideas and emotions. There will be an opportunity to write a poem together with two or three other writers, then revise the poem in your own way. The workshop will also introduce students to a number of marvelous poems by American poets. The workshop is offered free to all interested teens.
